OFFICE HOURS WITH JENNIFER MCCREA

Jennifer McCrea has worked with social-change leaders to develop effective fundraising strategies for more than 30 years. ​​Jennifer has consulted with hundreds of nonprofits, and has co-founded one. She has lectured on fundraising at the Harvard Kennedy School and co-authored “The Generosity Network.“

Emerson Collective is pleased to offer three advising sessions per calendar year with Jennifer McCrea. During these sessions, senior members of your team can work with Jennifer to strategize and problem-solve your organization’s specific fundraising challenges and opportunities. These sessions are intended for Executive Directors and senior development team members. Jennifer focuses on donor cultivation with individuals (rather than with foundations or institutions). Example topics to discuss with Jennifer:

• Refining your fundraising strategy

• Role playing, coaching, and advising for a specific upcoming ask

• Identifying new prospective donors

• Discussing tactics for securing a first meeting

• Best practices for building relationships, specifically, one-on-ones

• Maximizing effectiveness of gatherings, events, and fundraisers

• And more!

FUNDING

Emerson Collective will fund up to three (3) 30-minute telephone sessions with Jennifer. For this offering, we will pay for your session directly (rather than via a funding process). Please be sure to use the scheduling tool provided below.

Please note: to respect Jennifer’s time, any sessions canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be considered used and will count towards the annual maximum of three (3) sessions.

NEXT STEPS

Your Executive Directors and development team members can click to schedule a session. Please schedule these sessions whenever it is convenient, however, you must spread the three sessions over a span of at least three months (i.e. you may not hold all three sessions within two months). You do not need to use all three sessions. You may also email Jennifer at jennifer.mccrea@gmail.com if you have trouble finding an open time slot.
