About Think of Us
Think of Us (TOU) works to transform the U.S. child welfare system and improve outcomes for the millions of children and families it impacts every year. TOU’s research and design lab centers the lived experiences of those directly affected by the system and creates trusted partnerships with government agencies, lawmakers, providers, advocates, and foundations to drive novel, scalable solutions at the federal, state, and local levels. TOU’s innovative combination of data and technology and system-impacted expertise has resulted in efforts like wraparound tools for youth, foster, and kinship families; streamlining the process to provide housing to youth aging out of foster care; and collecting actionable data from foster youth in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
