Nicholas Thompson
Nicholas Thompson, Chief Executive Officer of The Atlantic, is a writer, editor, and occasional guitarist. Previously, Nicholas was Editor in Chief of Wired, Editor of NewYorker.com, and a contributor for CBS News. He co-founded both Speakeasy.ai and The Atavist, a National Magazine Award-winning company that was sold to WordPress. He has long been a competitive runner, and in 2021, he set the American record for men 45-plus in the 50K race. He’s currently writing a book on how the mind of a runner works.
