About the Speaker

Dave Isay is the founder and president of StoryCorps, a nonprofit whose mission is to record, preserve, and share the stories of Americans from all backgrounds and beliefs. To date, StoryCorps has collected and shared over 600,000 stories. Isay has received six Peabody Awards, a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, and the $1 million TED prize awarded annually to one exceptional individual with a creative and bold vision to spark global change. Isay has authored a number of New York Times bestsellers, such as, “Listening is an Act of Love,” and, “Ties That Bind.”
